Who we are.
Capt. Jamie LaMent founded the Watercourse project in the winter of 2024 with the straightforward goal of cleaning up our local rivers.

What we do.
The spring of 2025 will mark the official start of The Watercourse Projects efforts. Jamie and volunteers will begin hands on, water based clean up efforts on the Schuylkill river. Initially our focus will be between the Philadelphia art Museum and the Flat rock dam. Gradually expanding to other areas in need.
How we do it.
Simply put, We get our hands dirty. Watercourse currently has the use of a 16 foot G3 skiff equipped with a jet drive outboard allowing us to access almost every aspect of our local rivers. Using boat hooks, nets, drags, and our hands we will remove trash, tires, bicycles, shopping carts, and any other trash currently polluting our rivers.
What we need.
Watercourse needs your support. The watercourse project is a 501C-3 Non profit corporation. we are entirely funded by donations. Currently Watercourse is manned by a staff of one, its founder Capt. Jamie LaMent. Watercourse directs 100% of donations to river clean up efforts and operating costs. No one, including its founder draws any type of salary or compensation for their work on watercourse. We are a 100% volunteer organization and effort.
